When I was a little girl growing up in Dodge City, I always dreamed of being part of a community where people know your name, where neighbors support one another, and where hard work and dedication are rewarded. Now, as I embark on the next chapter of my legal career with Kennedy Berkley, I’m thrilled to return to Southwest Kansas and serve the communities that have shaped me.
This journey is particularly meaningful to me because it’s deeply rooted in family and legacy. My connection to the Knobbe Law Office began years ago. Everyone in Southwest Kansas knows Kyler Knobbe’s distinguished career. His work, including arguing before the United States Supreme Court, has always been a source of pride and inspiration. Kyler’s career is the premier example that you can reside in rural Kansas and still accomplish amazing career goals, like arguing in front of the US Supreme Court. To now have the opportunity to build on his legacy is not just an honor—it’s a responsibility I’m excited to embrace.
A Blend of Tradition and Fresh Perspectives
This new affiliation between Kennedy Berkley and the Knobbe Law Office represents more than a merger; it’s a union of experience, tradition, and fresh perspectives. I’ll be spending Tuesdays and Thursdays in Cimarron, Kansas working closely with clients to provide the same level of exceptional service they’ve come to expect. Whether it’s estate planning, business law, or navigating energy agreements, I’m here to help clients find clarity and solutions and learn from one of the best.
But let’s be honest, it’s not just about the work—it’s about community. If you’re from here, Southwest Kansas is more than a place; it’s a network of small towns where everyone knows everyone, and relationships run deep. Already, I’ve had the chance to meet with local leaders and organizations, like attending a recent PEO Luncheon in Cimarron. (You can bet your bottom dollar I filled up on jello salad!) These experiences remind me why I love this region and why I’m so excited to give back.
The PEO Luncheon was hosted at my little sister’s, best friend’s, grandma’s house (did ya catch all that? If you’re from a small town, you get it). Within the hour after accepting my invitation, I received a text from my sister asking about it. I forgot how fast news travels in a small town!
Building Strong Relationships
As a fresh new attorney on the scene, I understand the importance of balancing enthusiasm with professionalism. I want people to see me as someone who is approachable and eager, but also as a capable and determined legal advocate. Over the years, I’ve gained legal experience in estate planning, agribusiness, and litigation, but in addition to that, as a producer myself, I bring real life knowledge to Kennedy Berkley as well. I’m able to use my first hand knowledge to better serve my ag clients.
What’s great is that at the same time, I’m not doing this alone. Being part of Kennedy Berkley means I have access to a team of seasoned attorneys who are just a phone call away. Like Bob Frederick out of the Garden City office, who served as the 25th Judicial District Chief Judge for over two decades. Or Klint Spiller out of the Salina office who is a seasoned professional in complex, high-level agribusiness litigation. If there’s ever a question or a challenge, I know I’ll have the support I need to provide the best possible outcomes for my clients.
A Vision for the Future
Returning to Southwest Kansas is more than a career move; it’s a homecoming. I’m already actively involved in the Dodge City Young Professionals and am enjoying frequenting my favorite restaurants again. I’m especially looking forward to launching a few exciting projects in the coming months. While I can’t share all the details yet, I’m committed to investing in the community and helping it thrive.
To my family, friends, colleagues, and new acquaintances—thank you for your continued support as I begin this exciting chapter. I’m eager to build strong relationships, make meaningful contributions, and grow both personally and professionally as part of the Kennedy Berkley family. Together, we can honor the past while embracing the future with optimism and determination.
